I bought the strap to reduce pronation as it was causing me recurrent injuries in my knees and achielles tendon. I think that the wrap is more of a neat idea rather than something truly funcitonal. Although I bought a size too large, I think similar results could be achieved by taping in a similar manner. However, the best remedy I think is exercises that focus on ankle stability or theraband exercises that strengthen the ankle rather than taping or using the strap. Also, a really nice pair of stability shoes with well-made orthodics help.
